Apart from incoming Leads, users can also assign records of other entities by using Lead Assignment and Distribution Automation app. It supports both OOB as well as Custom Entities.

Is there any limit in assigning Leads or any other entity records using Lead Assignment and Distribution Automation?

No, there is no such limit. With Lead Assignment and Distribution Automation one can assign any number of incoming Leads or other work items.

What will happen to the existing Leads in CRM which are yet to be assigned?

Once the assignment rules are set, managers can assign the existing Leads or any other entity records by using ‘Run Assignment’ feature. Managers just have to select the Leads that needs to be assigned and click on the ‘Run Assignment’ button to distribute it among the users.
